Educate, Innovate, and Inspire! Laszlo Marton founded Galena Garlic Company with a passion for easy, fun, and healthy cooking! Growing up in a Hungarian household with garlic, paprika and planting, in 2003, he planted 6 varieties of gourmet garlic and his first harvest was surreal. He was hooked for life! His passion of promoting USA grown garlic remains today including 12 years of successful garlic festivals in Illinois and now in Tennessee. He loves mentoring anyone interested in garlic growing from backyard growers to small or large farms that are diversifying to new crops! Marton is thankful for his family that’s been his backbone in all steps of garlic farming: from planting, harvesting and marketing with his daughter, Nina Marton (Garlic air traffic controller), leading and managing their company, which gives him the freedom to research and expand his garlic legacy. His new venture this year is a permanent garlic gathering place- The Garlic Barn Museum- in Clarkrange,TN. Everyone needs to grow garlic!
